Travel Tips n' Tricks

If you are a neophyte traveller, you will need some TRAVEL TIPS N TRICKS. In the Visayas Region of the Philippines, you don't need to spend much since the areas are relatively small. The basic mode of transportation include tricycles, jeepneys, buses, and taxis. Jeepneys usually fetch a regular rate of Php 7.00 (about 16 cents) only. Very cheap, huh! For longer land travel, you may need to ride a bus. You can also take a seacraft to hop from one Visayan Island to the other. Depending on the distance, the fare does not cost more than Php500 or in the current exchange, about $11.00. However, if you wish to rent transportation for a package tour, there are many available for a modest rate.

Floating Restaurants Abound in Bohol's Loboc River

Taking lunch aboard the floating restaurant on a cruise in the Loboc River of Bohol is not only an adventure for the palate but a pleasant surprise for a showcase of talents as well. Boholanos are known to musically inclined. These children ranging from 4-12 years old offer live entertainment (using local instruments) for tourists. Such a joy to watch. Here, tourists aboard the floating restaurant come near to watch.

A Night at the New Iloilo Airport

This was taken in the parking area of the new Iloilo Airport. My SEK800i is really a trusted companion. The pic may be a little crude but you won't get this shot of picturesque Iloilo at night with a cellphone that does not carry Cybershot technology!
